My arrival in Dublin
I missed two flights before coming to Dublin. At first I was supposed to arrive in Ireland on 18th of September. The first flight was totally my fault, i woke up too late and missed it. The second one, it was only bad luck. Unfortunately, the weather was very foggy, it resulted in a traffic jam that slowed us down. When we were nearly arrived, we missed the exit for the airport because of the poor visibility, that delayed my arrival also. In the end, I arrived one minute late to register my luggage. I could take my flight but without my suitcase (Ryanair is very strict with the check-in) even if the plane was late. Therefore I decided to take another flight for the following morning.
Finally, I arrived in Dublin in the afternoon of the 20th September with two French friends. We took a taxi together to go to Griffith College. It was complicated for me to understand the taxi driver because of his strong Irish accent and to answer at his questions.
When I saw the campus, I was afraid because the buildings look like a prison. It was very difficult to find someone to indicate us where our apartment is located because it was a saturday so the reception was closed.
When I arrived in my flat I was reassured to be in the same bedroom that Juliette, my French friend. I met also my other room-mates, two Chines girls but we didn’t speak a lot because of their level in English.
I walked around to discover the city with some people of Griffith College. It was a great moment, the weather was ideal for my first visit of Dublin.
