Trips in Ireland

I went to Galway with my boyfriend the 22th November to visit the next day the Cliffs of Moher. We hesitated a long time between the Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher, two landscapes totally different. Everybody around, told us that if the weather is great the Cliffs of Moher are more impressive than the Connemara. We followed their advice, they predicted a sunny day consequently we eliminated the idea to go in Connemara.

We booked a room in Galway in an Airbnb for one night. We arrived there by bus at the end of the afternoon, it was dark. Our host was nice but i really think that she is an alcoholic because she was weird and it was written on her face. We didn’t speak a lot, we just put our luggage in our room and we went to the city center. We ate at an Italian restaurant in the main street, it was good fun and we returned at our house to sleep to be in full form for the day after.

In the evening, at 11.30 a.m, we took a tourist bus to visit the Cliffs of Moher. The weather was perfect, we were very lucky. We stopped at a typical Irish restaurant to lunch. I didn’t like the food very much. It was a pleasant place, however, there were too many people (every bus stopped there). Sometimes during the way, our guide gave us some informations but it was very difficult for me to understand him because of his strong Irish accent. The view was wonderful during all the road, very natural and green.

On arrival, we discovered the Cliffs, it was a panoramic view on the Atlantic Ocean and a wild environment. There were full of tourists but it wasn’t a problem to walk around and take pictures. Fortunately we were well wrapped up against the wind because it was present during all our visit. We stayed there three hours before to re-take the bus to Galways.

On the return journey, we watched « Toys Story » in English without subtitles on my digital tablet, an american Pixar cartoon. I didn’t look it since i was little therefore, i didn’t have memories about it. Nonetheless, I understood all the scenes, the accent was easily clear to comprehend.

We stayed only one hour in Galway, we took a Nutella crepe at the Christmas market before coming back to Dublin in another Airbnb.
