Some culinary specialities from Paris

 

 

We had to do a presentation about some culinary specialities from our city in class.

I live in Paris so I had to talk about Parisian courses. I chose to talk about the « oeufs mimosa », the « ham sandwich butter » and the « Macaron »  to have an instance of a starter, a main course and a dessert. These courses do not really go together but I love all my choices.

 

I advice you to taste some specialities of the French cooking, because there are a lot of delicious food ! I am saying this not to brag (= me vanter) but in my opinion it is a reality. 

 

Here my speech :

 

Oeufs mimosa

 

Most of the time the « oeufs mimosa » are served as a starter, approximately one egg per person. To prepare it, you need eggs, salt, pepper and mayonnaise.

It’s very simple to make it : cook the eggs in boiling water for 10 minutes. Then, cut the eggs in half, remove the egg yolks.

Take your egg yolks and mix them with some mayonnaise. Reput it inside the egg white and savor it !

 

Ham and butter sandwich

 

You have to know the baguette is the better thing of the world. You can put anything inside. The ham and butter sandwich is very tasty and easy to make. Cut the baguette at the middle and spread butter on it with some ham and enjoy it !

 

Macaron

 

This is a famous parisian dessert. The shop the most popular in France is La Durée. 

There is one for everyone's taste, a large set of choices : vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, salted butter caramel, pistachio, etc.

 

If you go one day in Paris, I advise to you to go to La Durée. For my part raspberry is my favorite.

It’s a little bit expensive, it’s approximately one euro fifty for one macaron. It is worth it !
